Dan McMurray has spent quite a bit of his lifetime behind the kit. From a drummer at the age of five, primarily self taught, he pursued drumming with a passion, beginning with the teachings of Frank Donaldson. He furthered his technique and style as an understudy of  Victor Baker of Chicago.

Dan has since progressed his way through multiple stringed instruments, harmonica, piano, and voice, including many other odd and inconceivable percussive and home-made devices. If it makes sound, Dan will find a way to play it. He has also spent many years in the digital realm, routing and crafting virtual MIDI and keyboard sounds. Dan is well versed in programming drum beats, scoring for film, as well as creating soundscape for commercial use and ambient rhythmic backdrops for artist production.

Working his way up through live performance, session recording, live audio and studio engineering, McMurray has become very naturally versed in recording and production techniques. He has recorded, produced, and co-produced several Grammy Nominee and Award winners throughout his experience. Having spent innumerous hours within Pro Tools, Dan has grown very adept to the merging of technology integration with the fundamental recording approach, while at the same time finding new ways to create unique audio through instrument experimentation. He is currently a professional drummer, guitarist, pianist and singer.
